Two of our Hickory’s Bartender’s have recently returned from an exciting research trip in Milan.

Day 1 

The team went for aperitivo and Drinks around Milan, drank numerous negroni’s, americanos’ and plenty of shots of fernet branca.

Day 2 

They then headed out to Fernet Branca distillery, explored the museum and then a masterclass of all the Spirits they own. Next stop was lunch, then headed into the cellars, to discover how they brew their coffee and distil their spirits. Next they headed back to the hotel for a quick refresh, change and then headed out for drinks and a sit down meal. 

The final stop for the day was an exclusive tour of the Branca Tower which is owned by Fernet Branca – and has the most amazing 360 degree view of Milan.

Day 3 

Early start heading to the Lazzaroni Amaretto Distillery, tour of their museum then off to headquarters for some tasting of Limoncello, Maraschino and Sambuca.

The guys enjoyed Lunch with the Lazzaroni guys, then headed out to the airport to fly home.

An unreal experience and a lot of knowledge learnt to take back to our Hickory’s neighbourhood bars!
